The study compared the gut microbiota of patients with Alzheimer's disease, those with amnestic mild cognitive impairment, and healthy individuals. It identified the specific bacterial composition, diversity and functional changes in patients with AD. Building a model based on microbial changes can effectively distinguish the above three population groups.
